There is a road I travel oft’
I wander there each night
I light a little lantern and
I watch day’s birds take flight
I walk along the path and turn
whenever that path does.
I look up high,
up past the sky,
then ask.
It says,
“Because.”
The wand’ring road and I are
little dots upon the earth.
And yet, without this habit I would
fail to find my worth.
